Hello every one, newbie here from Vancouver Island Canada. I have been lurking/lusting for a vintage omega for a few years now. Thought it was about time to join and learn about them before making a purchase.

Looking forward to looking through all the great content on this site.

Thanks Darin

Welcome to the forum! I am not sure what your budget is, but there are some stellar entry level watches in the Private Sales forum. At this point you won't have privileges to post there but you can always send the seller a private message. If the watch has not been serviced, be sure to budget for that.

Also, check this thread:

You might want to get your feet wet with a vintage Bulova or something like that.

Thanks for the link. Good info in there. I don't have a budget but I'm not sure I wanna jump in just yet. Mabey just touch my toes and feel the water. I have seen a few that have perked my interest but more research is needed still.

Sounds wise.

I spent 4 1/2 years in Campbell River. Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast are lovely for 7 months of the year. The winters can be dark, dreary and very wet. There isn't a more beautiful coastal place to live in in the spring and summer months.
