I'm originally from Spain but currently based in Detroit. We where planning on coming over for a few weeks to travel through France. (My wife is French) but......something got on the way.

Thank you, it's just as well, there is a curfew in all large cities and and many have closed everything.

I have just read my post & I apologize as it looks rude. I was asking only because I am aware that the vast majority of Legionaires are not from France & it interested me if you where one of the few originally French Legionaires.

No offense taken, and thank you. I believe approximately 10% of us are French by birth, but I am not one.

My uncle was in Legion in the late 70s with rank caporal chef ( as I understood he couldnt advance from there) and came back to Croatia (ex Yugoslavia) to fight in War of Independence. There he bacame liutenant general. He is retired for long time and enjoys life to the fullest. 😀
So, glad to have you here and hope you stay with us for a long time ☕
