New Ed White and new FOIS bracelet questions

Just trying to get my bearings straight:

The New Ed White bracelet: noted in many posts that it does not have an “on the fly” adjustment feature. Yet, it does have two additional adjustment holes in the clasp, which can be moved via toothpick or spring bar tool.

The New FOIS bracelet: has the “on the fly” adjustment feature (and, apparently, fits the New Ed White without modifications), yet, this quick adjustment feature only allows two additional positions, as the Ed White bracelet noted above.

So then: “on the fly” means adjustable without tools, but offers no greater adjustment range than the Ed White bracelet? Whereas some of the Seamaster bracelets have more than two quick adjustment positions in the clasp? Thanks.

Both of these bracelets have TWO settings. The EW321 has two holes, the FOIS has a 'normal' setting and an 'extension' setting. The range of adjustment is about 1/2 link for each bracelet, but people have gone ape over the bulkier push button design on the FOIS. If you absolutely, positively need that 'on the fly' adjustment it is worth it, otherwise the classic, more compact hole adjustment clasp works fine. All personal.

Any way to put the new FOIS clasp on the 321 bracelet?

It’s stuff like this that is the reason Omega will never be a great watch company.

No.

The 321 design brief is clear, a push button adjustment on this model, meaning a bigger, bulkier clasp is not wanted or needed by the audience.

The adjustable clasp on the new FOIS is actually the same footprint as the clasp on the 321. The issue is that the swing arms are different thicknesses, so one cannot simply switch the clasps, the connecting links must be changed as well. From what I understand, one can only get the connecting links by purchasing a complete bracelet, so one cannot order and install the clasp on its own.

Fun fact: For those who own both the 321 and the new FOIS, it's also intriguing that the links are more flat on the 321 bracelet than the new FOIS. It's not immediately noticeable, but IMO the 321's bracelet is more close to the original "flat link" style.

That would be an expensive proposition in order to get that half link adjustment, I reckon you could buy 50,000 wooden toothpicks for that amount of money to accomplish the same thing.

Will the new FOIS bracelet fit on the 3861?
The FOIS is 19mm, the Professional 3861 is 20mm, so no.
