Long-time Omega enthusiast and wearer. Currently own a Speedy Pro (circa ~2005) and a SMP (circa ~2012). Just joined, having enjoyed viewing the forum for years and now wanting to post a WTB for a 1498/9 bracelet, but discovered minimum 200 post requirement 🙁

So here's post #1 (Loooooong way to go...!)

Welcome. I’ve only been here a few months and as it has already been stated, the count rises quickly if you are interested in the brand.

I feel ya, what stings a bit also is you cannot comment in the sales forums, especially when there is a good conversation going. Seeing, "(YOU HAVE INSUFFICIENT PRIVILEGES TO REPLY HERE.)" hurts just a lil 🙁

I don't really see what the issue is since the OP did, in fact, manage to find a way to post a WTB request 😁

Welcome.
I'm new here too, but the 200 post count is a great way of keeping scammers of these boards (besides the tireless work of the mods, of course).
That makes it a pretty safe environment to trade in, which is in turn great for newbies.
Enjoy it, this is one the most friendly and knowledgeable boards I've seen.

Welcome to the forum,
16 "Welcome"-post in 15 minutes qualify for farming, and if I notice, more significant people will most likely too 😀

I'm the original poster (OP). Wow...didn't expect so many replies, but do appreciate all the warm welcomes and the encouragement to go the length to 200.

Incidentally, I did find the Speedy bracelet I was hoping to find -- actually a 1998/849 -- out of New Zealand. However, it was not sourced through this Omega Forum and therefore was not in any way related to my original post. I will certainly continue being active on this forum as I enjoy its devotion to the brand...one of my two favourites (the other being the brand of my GMT-Master IIC).

Thanks once again to all for your replies. Much appreciated and look forward to chatting again soon.
