This little puppy is in transit at the moment. Not too much info out there about these that I could find. So far looks good and will see what I get. Sellers pics.

Apart from Comet, seems identical to the more common Conquest version. Welcome to Beefy Lug club!

One of the earlier Comets, probably early-mid 60s.

The moniker was used on a wide variety of references, including the late 60's/early 70's Comets, which are quite funky and colorful.

Watch is from the mid-1950's.

From what I can tell, the Comet is an earlier name for the Conquest. Case looks to be the same. The All Guard is similar, except that it is usually found in steel.

I think that both models were consolidated into the name Conquest around 1957.

Hope this helps,

Old thread, but there are Conquests from the early/mid-1950s. Sharing my thread on the earliest Conquest: https://omegaforums.net/threads/the-first-longines-conquest.127629/

Sure like the looks of your new Longines Comet from the photos provided Barking Mad! Love the solid gold case.

Will be a treat to see your photos of it when it arrives, as well as your assessment.

Didn’t notice the date of the original post, but it’s still relevant to me. Now I gotta go find the follow up thread.
