·Since it is the end of the year, I thought I should do a little stocktake of my collection. I take a slow approach to collecting. Since joining the forum in late 2013, I have only gathered 8 watches. But I have enjoyed each one of them immensely, and is unlikely to sell any away.
The other reason I wanted to share this is to highlight OF's contribution. All 3 omegas, the UG, and the Bulova were purchased either from members or through members' recommendations. There is a very good reason why we always suggest to newcomers that they pay attention to the private sales or eBay recommendations threads. The forum has helped so many of us avoid a great many of landmines on the market.
There are a few watches that I hope to land in the future:
Polaris palladium (Found out about this after reading @dsio's article on the Polaris range)
Chronostop
2499 Centenary (still one of my grails)
A rose gold 320 dress chronograph (2 register chronos are 🥰)
Rolex explorer 1
Something with a salmon/blue dial to add some colour to the collection
