Just finished building this.

Seiko NH36 movement (day/date removed, serviced, regulated).
Diver case with screw down crown, Sapphire crystal, 24HR bezel, solid caseback.

If I still like the look of it in a weeks time I'll stick an NH34 (GMT) in it.
Now to find a decent strap or bracelet.

I try to keep it as sterile as possible. Just using design cues that echo watch styles that I like.
