My revised 321 platinum Speedmaster (up close)

I recently picked up my serviced 321 platinum Speedmaster at the Omega Boutique of Amsterdam. There was a slight issue with the subdial rings and Omega handled it perfectly by replacing the dial under warranty. I am "over the moon" on how beautiful it looks, in the Speedmaster I love so much. The team of Omega was amazing as well. You can read it all here: A Day at Omega's Atelier d'Excellence.

Here are some photos and macros of version 2.0 🤩
For those who don't know this watch: the subdials are lunar meteorite and the dial is Onyx (Agate). So two types of stone.

And here's a comparison of the old and new dial. Old dial is on the left.

A little less drama from a distance, but still stunning imho!

It’s a legendary watch, every one of them has such uniquely different subdials, of all the special modern Speedys, this one takes the crown for me.

Those subdials are real lookers with character. A tremendous halo watch. Wear it well and often.

What a difference the new subdials make… Vey nice indeed.

I mean the old subdials were nice! But the new ones are spectacular.

I noticed some odd spots on the subdial rings and thought they were tiny chips of moon meteorite. Omega HQ inspected the dial and mentioned it was some type of corrosion and these rings could be not cleaned or polished. It doesn't make any sense to me as white gold can't corrode like that. Anyway, Omega came up with an amazing alternative. I was gutted at first because I had bought this watch to commemorate my father who passed away that year. Looking at the end result, this was sign from above I guess.

Fun fact: the dial alone costs 15.400 euro 😬. Luckily this was covered by the warranty. Also the nature of this odd issue was the main reason Omega took this very seriously. If it was part of the stone characteristics, they would have politely denied my request.

Thanks! Yes I took most shots with my iPhone 16 pro and iPhone 11 with Moment macro lens. The subdials are amazing up close but luckily also amazing from a distance.

Here's a shot of the 321B movement:

Thanks to this post (in fact, I don't know if it is a good fact for me....), this perfect speed just became my speed graal.
Three big piece of Moon on the wrist... When you think about that, it is just... dizzy.
Much more impressive than the tiny insert on the Gold 50th back (even if I love it too....).
Congrats again.
I can't stop looking at these macros....

True, that's nothing compared to these slices, but still cool the Moonshine has a little moon made of lunar meteorite. If you like macro's, you'll appreciate these as well.

Wow, I didn't know that there was a red bezel moonshine gold. Those photos look amazing.

Thanks! Yes it’s the Omega Speedmaster Apollo 11 50th Anniversary from 2019. The first release featuring Moonshine gold and the 3861 movement (this one is decorated with Moonshine PVD and still the only one).

I'd call that an improvement - My DSOTM meteorite needed a dial change due to misplaced markers and then due to the cut not really looking good, they replaced the dial again and gave me three to chose from.
