Hi Omega crew,

I recently acquired a pre owned Racend Timer. I wasn’t looking for this and stumbled upon it in my ADs pre owned section. I didn’t even know the Omega produced this a number of years back. It’s absolutely incredible.

Sometimes the unexpected purchases are just the best. Have a great Sunday!

That's a fantastic watch, well done! I handled one once (also in a pre-owned section) and was seriously tempted, but unfortunately couldn't get to a deal point with the seller. When I went back a couple of weeks later for another attempt it was gone....one I still regret.

Congrats on a stunning piece, in a local forum this came up for sale at a tempting €8k a couple of years ago but I didn't pull the trigger.

As they say, that time it obviously wasn't meant to be for you. Hopefully next time my friend.

That is an excellent price for a solid gold piece. Great value in the pre owned market for certain pieces that is for sure.

That a wonderful looking watch and the pulsations scale is a nice touch! Congratulations 👍

Reviving an old thread, cause I just acquired this beautiful Racend Timer too. Never knew about this watch until it was offered to me. But fell in love immediately. Playing dress up at work.

Now I start to understand from where the modern Chronoscope came.

It is a remarkably special piece this one, like many of the museum edition watches it’s been forgotten by many and is entirely unknown to many more but the quite thin movement gives it an excellent vintage feel on the wrist

One of the first watches I posted about on Omega Forums was this 2279-1. Members were quick to point out that this was a bad redial. However, it had an early 321 movement and I loved the overall look. It also started my collection of vintage Omegas. I learned a lot since then.
The same collector sold me this Omega Racend Timer at a great price, among other watches. He more than made up for the earlier sale. Love how it came full circle.
