Hello Everyone! My name is Tim and this is my very first time posting on the Omega Forums. I just wanted to share with you all my favorite, everyday watch which is my Hesalite 1861 Speedmaster. I wanted a Speedmaster for many years and purchased this watch pre-owned in 2018 from Topper Jewelers. At the time, the price was a little under $3K with box and papers which is still the most I’ve ever spent on a watch. One thing I love to do is take this watch on all my vacations and take lots of pictures of myself wearing the watch so I can look back and remember the great times I had wearing it. Other than the watches that were passed down to me by my father this Speedmaster is my most special watch.

Also, I recently went to my local Omega Boutique and purchased the 3861 Bracelet! In my opinion it looks and feels so much better than the 1861 bracelet, especially because I have a skinny wrist.

Congratulations on your purchase and it sounds like you’re already wearing it in good health! It looks fantastic on that bracelet. I too really liked that bracelet and purchased one for mine. Mine is the brushed/polished option but your all brushed has me reconsidering haha.

Does omega still make a flat link bracelet that’ll fit the 1861 speed master?

I don't think so, but I know that Forstner Bands makes one and I think that Uncle Seiko Bands does as well.

Great story. I just recently bought a like-new 1861, specifically because I didn’t like the new version. I’m surprised that so many people like the new bracelet. I much prefer the later 1861 style.
I have a 90s Speedy Reduced also that has a similar bracelet as the new one, but much smoother. I thought the 3861 felt rough and flimsy.
I get the point that the end links look nicer by being less protruding.

Yes the 50th Anniversary Apollo 11 bracelet is still available and “fits” the 1861. You need Uncle Seiko endlinks to make it fit perfect though.

With all of the love for the 1861 on this thread thought I’d share a pic of mine 😀 Many fond memories wearing mine too.
