路As a few of you already know as well as having a 'thing' about 1950's Omega Seamasters I'm also fond of late '60's / early 70's Rolexes.
I was born in 1968 and coincidentally Rolex made some stunning watches around that time. I've been lucky enough to accumulate a few but have always hankered after a 1019 Milgauss.
As you may know, they were very pricey and unloved in their day and after about 1966 were special order only with a long waiting list and not many were made at all.
So when I got the chance to catch a 1968 white dial Milgauss with the rarer of the two minute tracks I had to have it - especially in this condition.
Here it is in its original box
And on the wrist
And with a bit more detail
It also came with its original 7206 bracelet but that's already in a box in its way to Michael Young to be tightened so the watch will live on this one for the next 8 weeks or so.
Not sure I believe in the concept of the 'Grail' for me - I don't have a 1016 or a 1655 yet and I'll be just as excited when they eventually come along, but this is pretty close.
