Hi guys,

I picked up this nice IWC ref R810A in 18k gold, which to me looked legit (hopefully). Case has some smaller scratches, and a few small dents in one lug, so it may need some gentle cleaning/TLC in the future. Is the consensus with gold dress watches to avoid polishing as we do with SS watches?

I just had one question.

Did these come with gold plated crowns?

Pics for attention 馃榾

If anything, one needs to be even more careful about polishing gold cases.

A tip about IWC is that it's always good to check the serial numbers on case and movement to make sure that they are within a year or two of each other. I don't have any particular concern about yours, just mentioning this since you said you weren't so familiar with the brand.

Looks like a good one and wish they still made that movement. What is the case size? The bracelet looks really interesting - also IWC?

Great looking piece. An IWC will likely be my next watch. Underrated IMHO

Beautiful heirloom piece. Should be enjoyed by many generations of the edtheaussie clan.

Hey everyone,

Thanks for the replies - some reason I wasn't getting email notifications?

The case size is 34mm, and I don't think the bracelet is IWC, but it certainly fits well!

Is there a term for these vintage square-link bracelets? That one is just lovely.
