I have the same model on bracelet, I love it. It isn't rare or uncommon... In Japan. Don't skimp on a proper service: no spares are readily available and I have seen wear on those which were a bit neglected.

Congrats on finding a nice one. Last one I picked up was a redial I’m having mucho trouble finding a legit vintage GS but I’ve been focusing on black dials. Much shenanigans going on with them (as in much of the vintage world) but I find them to be a very snappy watch. I’ve made myself content with KS for the time being but perhaps one day.

Do you mean blue/grey dial?

I'm not aware of any vintage GS that came from the factory with a black dial.

The blue dials seem to fade to grey over the years.

That's a really lovely watch and extra special with the box. Rather gratuitously my 6246-9001 with 9010 dial...

Could be, it was last year I thought my research confirmed a black dial GS that typically fades overtime was produced but I went down such a rabbit hole I can’t recall all the specifics.

Great watch. What's not to love? Hi-beat, automatic and classic Grammar of Design styling. Here's mine.

There could be some debate as to whether that's the original box though. Some subscribe to the theory that a 614X would have a Hi-beat 36000 box like this one:
