Just got my 2846 back from service. I couldn’t be more chuffed with the results. Matched it up with BoR 1036 with #11 endlinks and man is it comfortable. And it’s all thanks to OF!

Nice job..when I first open the thread I seen the first picture and same time I read that you are happy with the service and did not realise that the picture which I see is the watch before service and thought how can someone be happy with that? 😀. After that I seen the second picture..so enjoy your watch because looks great.

Looks great. I especially like the before picture actually as it’s screams potential and you can tell it’s going to look great with a clean and service.

Awesome. Brave to buy it based just off pics (if that’s what you did) but a very clear pay off! Was the seller aware how clean the dial was/is?

Wow, that is an amazing transformation! Can you share what all was done during the servicing?

I bought one of those BOR bracelets, it is lovely. It came with a head that didn't fit it very well which I threw away but I kept the important bit. (Mostly) true story:

Bought it at local auction actually so they didn’t know what they had. It was definitely risky but I could tell the dial was clean.

Sourced the correct crown, replaced part of the gear train, new crystal. The service took some time but the result was night and day.

Where can one find local auctions?

Check out your local area with an online google search. I bet if you type in your locale and the word "auction" you will come up with some semi-local events. We do and have found some interesting pieces at local antique and estate auctions. Of course I'm talking going to the auctions in person. I VERY rarely buy anything unless it's boots on the ground in person.
