A new arrival... Thanks Scott!

I've been wanting a C-case Datron since I first saw how excited auto-racing babes seemed to get around them:

Movado always had Zenith beat in the marketing department.馃榾.

These early 3019 PHC's also had the tonneau-cased Primero's of the early 70's beat in terms of comfort and wearability.

I dig the blue and gold (plate) combination on this one. Finally a match for the blue croc strap I've had lying around.

The really great thing about these Datrons, though, is that they can be had for about half the price of many of their Zenith contemporaries... even when there is a 31J El Primero inside (as opposed to the standard, American-market, 17-jewel Movado engine).

Super! Not a common color combination.

The Primero is absurdly cheap in its Datron manifestation. The auto-racing babes may be excited, but MadMen's Ted Chaough is a little upset you've revealed his secret - now everyone will want one.

Oh no... it's the "nice guy" watch... kiss of death. Hopefully he gets it on with Peggy soon to boost its value.

I always regretted turning down a solid gold version of this a few years ago for an absolute steal, now seeing this post has brought all the feelings back. Time to start the search again!
