It seems to be a hidden lug type case, ground down to give it lugs. Service crown, pushers don't look right and wrong hands for the dial.

Other than that, it is fine.

Don't see it in Rossler. I am thinking a put-together.

It is the Mother of All Put-Togethers. Needs to be documented for posterity

I make out an A 787 dial & hands, and A 3818 bezel, and a ground down case from the A 781-2-3 series. Anyone else?

I'm going with the elegant solution. They took an A 788, ground out some lugs, polished the case, and swapped in the dial and hands from an A 787, leaving the A 788 bezel in place. Or they popped an A 788 bezel into an A 787 case.
I certainly hope that no A 3818's were harmed in the making of this mess, and I think the case, though reshaped almost beyond recognition, probably started off as an A 787-8 cushion-type... before someone tried to make it look like the more modern 01.0210.415.

You are of course entirely correct. It has to be an A 787-8 case, which accounts well for the bezel origin. Therefore the body count is only two - an A787 and an A 788.

Love those rounded lugs. Less laceration potential if somebody beaned me in the noggin with it.

It's already at USD2000 with a week to go. IMO, that is a bit greater than its parts value.

There is someone selling a 3019 movement, on eBay, in The States for somewhere around $1,500 IIRC. That would be a better place to put your money.

Well aren't we presuming there's a 3019 PHC in this Franken? ...though pics would of course be reassuring...
Those GF ladder bracelets don't come cheap... then there's the introvabile blue inner bezel, dial and hands. Might be a wash if the Franken doesn't go much above $2k.

Un-bloody-believable. It is up at over €2,200 with an hour to go and two people bidding for it.

The hammer this needs to go under is certainly not the auctioneer's hammer, I think this one would do the trick:

You've got to feel sorry for the eventual "winner". All knowledge comes at a price for sure but this is definitely going to end in tears for somebody.

Unsurprisingly, no bid-up at the end - EUR2210/USD2936 for this monstrosity.
