What I cant understand is how they get any gain out of all this, overcharging for shoddy workmanship is one thing but hardly a sustainable business model, add to that the pointless delaying and evasion tactics. It doesn't make any sense, the best scams are when the target doesn't realise they've been scammed. I suspect it's total incompetence.
Not only can they not run a business..........they can't seem to run a good scam either!

Update on my situation with Luxury Watch Repairs. I will make a very long story short -I put my Rolex in for a service and crystal change in December and after being lied to and ignored for months I eventually got my watch back in August with neither the crystal changed or watch serviced. Anyway they promised me a full refund which surprise surprise hasn't come through despite them saying it had 'left their account'. So again I've threatened legal action -let's see if it works.
My advice for anyone struggling to get a response: go down there and go public with your experience. I only got it back after posting a scathing review on Trustpilot and turning up at their premises twice in person demanding my watch back. They have press pieces in GQ and the New York Times so that will be the next port of call. Good luck with your watches!

Sidenote: Hilariously at one point the owner, Oliver Pollock threatened me with legal action for defamation over my review, which I told him I stood by and would be welcome as I was planning my own legal action -didnt hear from him again sadly. Total crook.

Follow up from my previous post, I received an email saying they were waiting for a new case back for my watch, which apparently was damaged inside. They said it would be with me in 3 to 6 weeks, seems to be their standard answer... I'm still waiting after 7 weeks, I emailed them again, got the usual reply...we will reply in 2 days...no answer yet again. As I said before shysters I don't believe they will have looked at the original problem of the watch not holding a charge overnight (automatic not quartz). So when/if I get the watch back I'll send it to another recommended watch repairer. I'll put a review on trustpilot too.
