Does anyone here know where this could be found (Cal 12-120). I tried so many places (casker, several ebayers), but it seems to be very hard to find. Or is it possible to fabricate it? Thanks a lot in advance for any tips. Picture taken from the internet.

Any good recommendations on who to turn to?

Jim Michaels, House of Time in Pennsylvania. He made parts for my repeater. He was the instructor for the NAWCC school. Not fast, and not the cheapest, but capable of doing the job.

Tried linked in and contact us page, didn't seem to work, probably have to give a direct call. He has quite a neat set up picture on his website.

It might be cheaper to play the waiting game and find a donor movement on Ebay. Wouldn't cost more than $50, I'm sure, after you take the swan neck off and resell it.

Yep been keeping my eyes on that, apparently the ratio of pp movement emerging vs. Others is quite low.

Have you considered just getting Patek to take care of it at its next service? I know some of their quotes are crazy high but for a time only Cal 96 it might not be too bad.

Would also mean you'd have Patek service papers for the watch which could help if you ever decide to sell it.

on hindsight that was a better idea, but my watch maker already fixed it up from very bad condition and just missing this 😜

I would just email PP and ask if available and if you can purchase

Donor movement might be more expensive than just sending to PP if they request it

You won't get an outright rejection - it will be a nice and flowery with ruffles and bows rejection. 😜

Of course PP will service it, but even time-only is going to be 💰.
Probably cheaper to have the part fabricated, and may actually take less time.

Contact eBay member 2848kerry and give him a try - located in Australia and has a ton of vintage parts that are hard to find from many brands. He may not have it listed, but he has much more than what is listed at any given time, so it's worth a shot.

Cheers, Al

+1 for Kerry. He has dug me out of a hole a couple of times with obsolete balances.

Good that you found it. I had the same exact issue a few years back with a PP 2508. The vintage watchmaker through my local PP dealer looked and couldn't come up with one so finally they said send it to PP and get it fabricated. I was quoted 12 months and $1,400 so I demurred.
