路As Far As I Know, 2023 marks the 40th anniversary of the publication of the first serious book dedicated to wrist watches:
1983 Armband Uhren ( G. Brunner & R. M眉he & H.Kahlert )
Soon afterwards the first dedicated watch brand books appeared:
1987 Patek Philippe; Gen猫ve ( A. Banberry & M. Huber )
1992 Orologi da Polso; Rolex ( O. Patrizzi )
In the new millennium we saw more interesting books;
2001 Vintage Rolex Sports Models ( M. Skeet & N. Urul )
While social media and online blogs lead to "Hashtags & Watches", more specialized & better researched books came out;
2017 Moonwatch Only ( G. Rossier & A. Marqui茅 )
2018 Flightmaster Only ( G. Rossier & A. Marqui茅 )
2018 Chronomaster Only ( G. Rossier & A. Marqui茅 )

路2024 Rolex Submariner book by Nicholas Foulkes : Oyster Perpetual Submariner
Although none of the Submariner watches worn in space are mentioned, there's an interesting chapter on Mercury 7 astronaut Scott Carpenter acting as an Aquanaut testing Rolex watches onboard US Navy Sealab project.Besides some military stories, excellent overview of the Submariner dive toolwatches history!
Furthermore the book has rarely seen photos such as those showing how a Rolex Submariner was attached to the "Trieste" Bathyscaphe by Swiss oceanographer-engineer Jacques Piccard (who usually wore two wrist watches, one on each wrist).
Certainly looking forward if such a book will be published for the Rolex GMT-master pilot watch, as we know an astronaut's favorite...
