I saw this "Franco Baresi" limited edition of the CS3110 reissue Carrera on Chrono24. Not seen this one before
Now that's very interesting. Someone sent me a photo of one of these a few years ago, but we had no idea whose signature was on the dial, or what the number 6 meant. Great find!
According to Wikipedia, "In 1999, he was voted Milan's Player of the Century. After his final season at Milan in 1997, the club retired Baresi's shirt number 6.". So that explains the number. I guess this was one for the Italian market only.
No, just a small seconds counter. I think the Silver hand uses the outside counter from 0-30 seconds and when it gets to the end the Red hand takes over on the inner counter. Comes from a period where TAG Heuer were getting "imaginative" with rotating discs and linear seconds. Very smart watch though- hand wound Calibre 1.
For the blue titanium at the top of the page would you expect the workings of the watch to be the same as the wak2111? It seems like from searching the internet most of these were first on sale in Northern Europe.
According to customer service these were originally sold in Malaysia...although I see no evidence of that. They did not have a name that specifies the limited edition but there are only 100 of them. Should be Bold Blue limited edition? Blue on blue? Blue Sea? Nicole David LE?
