Not remote at all, and thank goodness in a much more temperate latitude than the Revenant setting.馃槻

But, the view east does include a lot of forest and farmland, and is not heavily populated. And much of what is there lies in the valleys, not up on the mountains and ridges.

Dents-du-Midi in Switzerland. I do not remember if this is sunrise or sunset. Probably sunset. Still nice.

While technically not a "sunrise", it was taken around sunrise. This is what I found when I went to get the morning paper.
