Hi there, do you know if is possible to repair these old boxes, my insode surface is spreading into small parts
You could probably get a new felt put on it if that's what you're taking about

This looks square in this picture but is a trapezoid shape in real life.

A man's watch will comfortably fit although I have the feeling this was perhaps originally for a woman's watch.

Looks similar to a box I saw a second generation omega marine in. I will have to dig out the photo to sure.

I have this one with a bit of interesting extra information; the papers (no watch unfortunately). So as you can see the noted serial matches between the envelope and the guarantee doc. SS so stainless steel watch. Unfortunately its not clear to me what ref. ‘6175G’ indicates. Sold June 15th 1970. I understood this is a late 1960s box which matches with the sales date and the serial date (1969). Based on information ao on Desmond’s page I understood it housed a cal. 564 or 751 watch so either a piepan or c-shape. I could send in the serial to Omega but thats a bit much for a watch I do not own 😀

Nice box and goes well with your rather nice dogleg pie pan.

Just for clarity, your paper's serial number means the watch they belonged to could just sneak into the cal 1001 territory and the 564 was associated with dome dials, flat dials and pie pans and the 751 appeared in C shapes and 168.016 round cased flat dials at the time.

Most date only C-case Constellations were cal. 564, although there were a few very early examples with cal. 561.

A few of mine with their original boxes. The 1956 Seamaster has the original caseback sticker that the first owner stuck to the manual!

They were still there until recently, I had to search it on Google maps when it first arrived as it's such an unusual address!

By the way I would like to say to the people who have designed this site that it is so nice and so easy to use that it makes it the best.
VRF feels like Neanderthal Jurassic compared to OmegaForum.

more recent generic Omega box

notice the one bottom middle is silver rather than golden
the main difference between two generations is the paper on the back
the color, texture and the Omega logo can vary from one box to the other as well as the markings on the back.
You have a great collection. Are they easy to find there? I’ve found a couple locally here in Canada but mostly I have to buy from EBay and the prices seem to be going up. Here are 2 of mine. They’re fun to hunt and collect.

I just bought a Seamaster 600 and it came with this box - I understand this is an earlier box and worth a bit of money? I am keen to sell it but not sure how to price. Would anyone be able to shed any light at all? Grateful in advance.

What an amazing thread! My index finger hurts from all the scrolling, admiring all the amazing posts and boxes.

I have one that I haven't seen before, nor in this thread it seems. It's part of this Speedymoon set and I can't find any conclusive info. Some sellers claim it's 50s, other 60s and one vintage dealer 80s, which should match the Speedymoon from the mid 80s and it matches the rectangular shaped booklet, but that's from 1987. The velvet spring holder reminds me more of the 60s era. Does anyone know which era this is from?

Some photo from eBay; it doesn't seem to have a box reference.

Good morning everyone, I have an omega constellation 14902 62 SC And I'd also like to get the box. Which one do you think is the original? Could this be it? Thanks.

Could be. Depends on the country to which your watch was delivered.

To me this is a typical 60s box , could be late 50s but iirc it was green and blue in the 50s. Maybe dealers still used these in the 70s but definitely not 80s imo.

I don't believe anyone has posted one of these. I was made in Birmingham England rather that Switzerland and dates from 1957. any insight as to the Ref. that would come with it would be greatly appreciated. I also wish it still had it's interior...
