Did they make any progress on the Peugeot 205 T16 that was suggested last time?

Still 3.5k away from the 10k consideration threshold.
But you've seen the Lancia by same guy?

Me, once the autumn nights start to draw in, I'm set to start on my own Queen Victoria:

True. Over 2000 pieces.
I've got two Maersk container ships on my desk at work and this will expand the fleet!

I do keep coming back to the Porsche 911 GT3 RS but it's a lot of money for a 'toy'.

There is also a "hybrid" model of the Porsche 919:
The right half of the car is original Porsche, the left half
is made of LEGO bricks.
Not a good idea to talk about money....

Very cool. I would LOVE an E30 M3...but the prices are crazy. In fact, even an E30 318iS or something similar now command big dollars.

You gents may not want to buy any of these cars after all. Turns out they're very unsafe. Just look at this video of ADAC testing of the Porsche 911 GT3 RS-

Scandalous.

Makes me a little bit sad. As Big Adam earlier stated, the GT3 RS is not a cheap (toy) car.
As far as the "test" is concerned, at least the waltz by Johann Strauss fits perfectly, as the first Porsche cars were built in Austria.
Hope, the testing personnel will not smash th 919 hybrid too. (Proposed music title: "Highway to hell".) They might need a huge broom after finishing.
Wish better luck to Big Adam's Porsche!!!

1) That's sad? Consider the multiple actual GT3 RS that gave their lives for EuroNCAP, IIHS crash testing etc....

2) In an extended interview with the ADAC techs, they remarked that nothing actually broke on the model - it came apart, but all of the Lego pieces were intact - and that it could easily be rebuilt.

Assuming they could find all of the pieces, of course!

Hah that's fantastic. How fast was it going when it went in? Very impressive that none of the parts broke

I helped a buddy move house at the weekend (for the third time, sigh). In reward I was given this while clearing his parents attic:

It's a 8880 supercar, one I drooled over in the lego catalogue when I was a kid but could never afford. Instructions are available online, sometime when work is quiet I'll strip it and bung it through the ultrasonic parts washer, then build it over the Christmas vacation 😀
