Just wanted to share with you guys my latest purchase - a rare Universal Geneve Compax "Climate-Proof". It dates to about 1951, and has an oversized (37mm) pink gold case. It also has the unique trait of an extra, intermediary caseback to fight against "the climates". What attracted me to this particular watch is the larger size, the pink gold case, and the gorgeous multi-color dial. I just received it today and could not be happier with it!

Here is a pic of it next to a similar watch detailed in Sala's book:

And here she is on my wrist:

I've also included shots of the casebacks - primary and secondary - and the movement. Hope you like the pics and can't wait to break this one in!

Best,

Ben

From the condition it certainly looks like the internal caseback design does what it says on the dial, the number of Compax's with white dials that spotlessly clean seems to be remarkably low, but then the case is also very sharp too, must have had a very protected life

Beautiful buy, Ben. Another example of "condition, condition, condition" and a pretty rare one as well.

Gorgeous. That dial is something special, and the best part--something you don't see too often, even with the climate proof models--is the internal dust cover. Can't tell you how many times I've seen those conspicuously missing from these references.
