Dial- alternating black and gilt; essentially flawless-what is it about Seiko’s dials that resist the effects of time so much better than their Swiss counterparts??
Hands- alpha
Functions- quickset day and date
Movement- reliable automatic accurate for non chronometer
Look- Classic
Cost- bargain basement
Again how does Seiko do it?

And the lume will probably still work, too!
At least it’s as intact as the day it was applied along with the markers and paint/lacquer. You’d think it’s a fluke but no Seiko’s other vintage models usually exhibit the same resilience. Obviously there’s something about the resilience of their paint (and arguably lume) composition that generally surpasses the Swiss.
