K&D staking set

After looking for awhile but not committing to buying a set due to price, I finally found an affordable staking set. From what I have found in google, I believe this K&D set is a 5B from around 1910. While it's a very basic set I'm excited to have it because it means that I'll be able to start doing some more repairs that previously I had to send off for.

I have the No 5. Interesting to see the advert. The glass bell is lost. Someone made a plexy replacement. Mostly I keep a tea cosy doll on top of it. The lazy susan base makes it easy to find a stake. Do not have all the anvils, Some of the stakes are replaced as well. I mostly use it for riveting pipe organ valves.

Now I want a jewel press as one of the Landerons and two of the Venus 170 chronograph movements have cracked or missing jewels.

I need to get a set, too. I've been waiting to try to get a deal on a No.18 because I want the reamers it comes with, but they always sell for more than I'm willing to pay. I think that means I just need to get a cheaper set and make do with handheld reamers.

The #18R Inverto set is what I use - it offers maximum versatility as stakes can be used as stumps...

This thread inspired me to get the lead out and go ahead and buy a set, too. I ended up getting a 600 series. I think it was originally a 602, but the stakes and stumps are not all original.

I got a decent deal on it because the box is not in great shape. If anyone happens to know where to get a replacement handle, I'd welcome any leads.

This is the set I have. I know nothing about it, the only labeling it has is on the bottom of the silver thing, KD Special, New Style and a serial number. Now I just need to figure how and when to use it. LOL

Hello: I'm looking at buying a K&D 600 series set here in the UK which has only 91 of the original 120 stakes & 15 of the 20 Stumps in a box missing a side & the top handle & original catch. My understanding is that only the 610 version came in a box (same one as the 18B Inverto) - but the box could have been sourced separately after a 600/601/602 purchase. Anyway, I'd be grateful to know what you paid for yours as this would be my first Staking Set & I have no real idea what would be a good price for the one I'm considering...
