Sa Calobra
·After a black honeycomb Seamaster, a SM120, and a Railtrack connie with black dial, it happened to me again. I was looking for a Ranchero for about a year and have about 4 pages of messages with @gbesq about potential options. I got very close one time, but as I was sharing my contact details with the dealer, his partner had sold it to another client over whatsapp. I gave up on the search. Until i was browsing Chrono24 during a Zoom call for work.. and there it was.
Finally found a Ranchero! As quite a few other Rancheros, it was delivered to Italy and this one has stayed in Rome ever since the delivery. The funny thing is that all the other models that I was close to buying, were higher priced and in less condition.
It reminds me of hunting for love - when you're trying to hard, you don't succeed, but once you stop caring they seem to be coming for you from all directions 😀
