·Good evening OF members,
I have a friend who has inherited his grandfather's military issued JLC. It’s a JLC mark 11, one of 600 purchased by the Royal Australian Airforce. It’s certified G6B/346.
He wants to have it serviced, and I suggested not taking it to JLC. I'm not sure to what extent they would replace parts. If it's comparable to Rolex or if they would only replace movement parts and crystal.
If any of the members have recommendations on reliable watchmakers in the area it would be greatly appreciated.
A photo for good measure.
