Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on current fair values for these, particularly the example below. As far as I can make out it is probably a ref 384.
Dennis, if they have the dies, wouldn't it be practically indistinguishable from the original? (Apart from looking much better than it should for an 80 yr old watch!)

Not necessarily. They might have the wrong dye for a particular preiod. Or they might not have all the correct dyes for a specific dial. Even JLC messed up a watch I sent for restoration, putting T SWISS MADE T on a dial that never had lume. They fixed it when I told them it was an error.
First one looks very nice. I'm not sure that the 2nd one is a JLC movement. I'd stay away. No clue on value. These Uniplan movement are so similar to other JLC movements used up to the 1950's, I can't see there being a huge premium on them.
Did a bit more digging. I'd say the second one looks to be a legit Tavannes movement Reverso with a redial that for some reason says Uniplan and not Reverso . In fact the whole watch and the movement is almost identical to the one on p30 of Zaf Basha's book - except for the "Uniplan" wording.
The first one isn't crisp enough for me. Neither are on my hitlist, just doing some homework and browsing 😗
The more I look at these, the more it looks like the watch at the top of the thread is a well done restoration job.
