Hi Guys, any reason for concern about this watch in your opinion?
Besides authenticity I’m worried that it has been polished - bought one before that practically had no edges and had to send it back..
What do you think? I’m concerned about that reflection where the polished edge meets the side on the top.
Thanks a lot!

Looks good. Since you have the AD's name on the certificate you could contact them to verify they've sold a watch with that serial number.

Real or fake?

Serial appears to be 98869988, but in other watches I have seen it is not etched on the back of the case like this one.
It's fake, 100%.

You're reading the serial upside down, and one of the 8's is a 3. Serial on that watch is 83669886, which is a known fake.

Seller is hiding the escapement with the rotor on purpose... picture of another NTTD fake with the same serial:

Impressively good or impressively bad? 😀

Impressively good with my limited knowledge.

I've looked into the nttd reps when I was looking to buy a real one to ensure I wouldn't get scammed. At this point, it sounds and looks like they've really mastered copying it. The case and bracelet are all titanium now so the weight is the same. The other giveaways are the same serial numbers mentioned on the fakes. The ver 1 mesh, The different movement BPH, the lack of anti-magnetic, and the fake coaxial nub.

I'm really impressed with the fake movement. I'm used to seeing the fake eta movements or at best a cheap metal plate over the eta.

I don't know, I'm not convinced that the bezel is exactly the same.

Got the watch, serials matching, was able to download the chrono cert from omega.
Do you see any bad signs?

what about this one? has an authenticity report from HGSTC but no papers. 2531.80.00, with serial number 80893642. Priced within Chronos24 market prices for that ref.

Based on serial probably 2005.

So, this beauty is on eBay, with 45 bids, currently at $2,700 and change. Is it possible that there are 11 distinct bidders who haven’t looked all the way through the pictures? Or are they bidding on parts value thinking that the parts - other than the VK63 movement - are real? Multiple people bidding $2,700 for an obvious fake? And it doesn’t even look like it’s being shilled, unless they’re using several accounts.

I really do not understand this one.

To be fair, they spelt "MISSIONS" correctly.

It hammered at $2,950 and was almost immediately relisted with additional explanation that “According to the jeweler I took this to, the movement have been switched to quartz and the face and band was replaced.”

At least, I assume that it was relisted. I hope so, because otherwise it would mean that there’s more than one of these things out there. I’m just perplexed that “the jeweler I took this to” thought that any part of it was legit. I’m guessing that maybe they told him that because they didn’t want to tell him that his late father’s watch is completely bogus.

the jeweler I took this to”

...told him it was fake, and he asked if it was POSSIBLE everything about the watch had simply been switched and the jeweler said... "I guess that's more or less it"
