Is this Speedmaster Pro serial # upside down?

I'm considering purchasing this used 2011 Speedmaster Pro. I have never seen the serial numbers oriented as in the picture. They appear to be upside down compared to all other serial numbers I have seen previously. Would this be an indication that the watch is not authentic? Is the serial # font correct? Thanks in advance.

I just picked up my 2225.80 Seamaster Pro Chrono Diver and the serial on it is exactly the same orientation as this Speedmaster

Thank you for checking your Seamaster. That is reassuring. I haven't purchased anything this significant on ebay previously and am a bit reluctant so trying to do my due diligence. As you can see in the images, it's a Speedmaster Pro 3570.50 and quite clean with full docs. Seems legit, but I have looked at many and never seen any with serial numbers "upside down". With your confirmation in hand I think I may go after it. Thanks again.

Normally the serial number should be printed on the international warranty card. But saying that the case looks legit with the laser world etched and the little red paint dot on the case, which is a original factory seal.

Thank you very much for your thoughts on the subject. So, seeing the etching and red dot on the case makes you feel it's not a replica? I'm having trouble seeing the red dot you refer to. Is it that tiny dark spot at 6:00 at the edge of the case?

Probably a better question to ask since its an auction, what are you budgeting as your limit on it?

I'm not asking to bid against you btw, I'm just curious because if you're in the right price range I can put you in touch with a dealer that specifically deals in Omega Speedmaster Pro watches only and should be less of a risk than eBay.

I was hoping to get a used 3570.50 post 2000 in very good to excellent condition with all the documents, manual, cards, case,.......for between $2200-$2400. Seems plausible to me based on experience of other people on this and other boards. Thoughts? I'm perfectly happy to speak with a legitimate dealer if he/she can make it happen. Thank you for the offer to make a referral.

The red dot looks like its left on the pic of the case to the left of the 'W' on the word worn.

That's the dot I thought you were referring to, but just wanted to make sure. Thanks again for taking a look and giving me your opinion.

I would be interested in the contact information for the dealer you mentioned who specializes in Speedmaster Pros.

I actually emailed him and he's out of 3570.50s atm, he's got other variants like the 3572.50, 3573.50, 3291.50 and 3575.20 but no 3570.50s.

That was very kind of you. I appreciate you inquiring with your source about the 3570.50. This will be my first Omega and I'm a bit of a purist when it comes to design and functionality. After a fair amount of research and narrowing of the various options I concluded that the Speedmaster Pro 3570.50 was the one. I will take another look at the models you listed to see if I would consider an alternative.

3572.50 is interesting in that its basically a sapphire displayback version of the 3570.50, with better movement decoration, same hesalite crystal and so-on.

I think I'm still set on the 3570.50. I was contacted by George/Kringkily about my interest in the Speedmaster Pro. I think it may have been you, or someone here, who made the referral. Has anyone on this board had occasion to purchase an Omega from George/Kringkily and how was the product and process? Thanks.

Yea that was me, haven't actually bought one off him yet but I've heard from a lot of other guys on watch forums that have and were rather pleased, he'll probably have a list of references you can contact if you ask for them.

I saw the same positive feedback on other boards so could be an option for sure. Thanks for making the referral and I'll let you know how things work out.
