Is there a setting to not automatically follow a thread?

Hi there.

I've been a member for awhile now but never known how to not automatically follow a forum thread when I post in it.

Is there a setting to turn that off? I've searched everywhere but can't find it!

Many thanks for any help. 馃榾

I don't know about automatically but there's an UNFOLLOW link at the upper right of any followed thread.

Thanks for that ahsposo but I was aware of that feature. However, when you post, you have to then refresh the page (Where Follow will update to Unfollow) and then select Unfollow.

It's cool but I was wondering if there's a way to disable that as I then get emails as well to notify me.

OK, I have it.

Go to the top of the page where you see your avatar. There's a drop down. Choose Settings and uncheck automatically follow.

That is how I got my username.

People would say "Isn't he amazing?" or "Isn't he kind of short and fat?" and down here in the American South someone would say "ahsposo".

Just for future reference, this isn't necessary. If you click "follow" you will get the option to unfollow the thread...

The admin can set it so you don't automatically follow any threads. Then you just click on "follow" and set email or no email for each thread you want to follow.

That worked, though it's under a sub-heading in Settings: E-Mail Alerts and Time Zone.

On that note, I am a new forum member and can't find where to see a listing of the threads I am following. I have followed several threads and would like to review them, but don't see how. Any help here would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Since your thread helped me, I'll return the favor. I was tired of always getting email too.

Followed threads are here. Choose "Latest" and the "Followed".

Wow, 68 pages. That's a lot! You just inspired me to prune the list back from 2 pages to 1.
