Lume pips are inserts, not filled.

I can tell from your earlier picture of the label sheet that it is fake - the text/QR code is not aligned correctly.

It's unusual that they performed a battery change/reseal without registering that it is fake, but it's not surprising either.

Thanks for the reply 馃憤
What shape and size are the pip and the hole in the bezel ??
I don't believe there are variations of Aquaracers where the hole in the bezel is countersunk.

Interesting, and thank you for your reply.

I have attached another photo of it, can you look again and tell me what about it is not right?? The watch is going back, so I'm not trying to force the is it "real or fake" issue, it's more for me and other people to look out for in future. It all helps.

This is mine, a genuine WAZ1010.
Yours looks off but I can't tell you if it's fake.

Or take it to Tag Heuer and receive a service and a warranty for the same watch ... !? Just don't complain if it's damaged...

Stupid point to make. If you don't think watchmakers who have been around for 35+ years don't know a thing or two about a Tag then that's silly.
Regardless of your experience I would still trust TAG to identify a fake over a watchmaker who is not specifically trained on TH.

I guess we ascribe too much diligence to TAG. Why should they waste resources checking every TAG that comes in for a paid battery change? But I bet if its warranty work then it's a different matter.

I agree. Realistically the amount of watches that ultimately come through for a battery change, when in fact people are really after a authenticity "check" will be huge.

It begs the question though... How many genuine watches are out there that are actually counterfeit!? Frightening really.

If Tag had a department specifically for authentication checks that were paid for, they'd make a small fortune id imagine.

Something else that has caught my eye...

I've seen many watches with stainless steel raw cut numerals, some with white paint and now this with what appears to be black paint.

With TH not really giving enough information on their watches it's hard to know if these are fakes, or genuine Tag watches that had variations through their production. Minefield...
