I wouldn’t be too quick to blame Tag. This is my second Modular 45 and I’ve never had issues with texts (iPhone user). Just paired it with the Android Wear app and everything sync’d.

i will blame TAG 100% how can u comment when you have a single notification setup. 100% the watch should simply mirror phone notifications, should be straight forward. I have reset multiple times and will do once more now . It shouldn't be that difficult.

I commented because the subject is iPhone SMS doesn't work, but it does. You can't blame Tag for user error. I'm just posting here so someone new considering the watch doesn't stumble on this thread and assume it doesn't work. Because it does. If it didn't, 99% of purchasers would return their watch....

give up, poor support, low % of users using iPhones, thus not much help, i know the shop won't have a clue.

Any luck getting it to work? I still can’t get iMessages. Updated to 8.0 and no luck.

No, if TAG focused on getting IOS campatability a little more instead of creating other smaller connected models they might actually sell more. I’m happy with my connected, but know I spent £1000 over the top for a poor operating system with minimum compatibility. It certainly isn’t a iwatch that’s for sure, there is some very basic design issues, Evan the positioning of the charging lead for the charge plate is in a daft place. No speaker, poor vibration , I mean I can get a China copy with twice the functionality for £35. God the price we pay for a branded item, we are very sad people.

It doesn't need any more iOS compatibility because it's already compatible. There's a lot of iOS users. Why wouldn't you go to your dealer and ask for assistance - that should be the first step surely, well short of giving up. And if you think a Chinese copy is a valid substitute then I'm not sure why you would pay the premium for a Tag in the first place.

As I said we pay for the brand, no need to get prickly, you know it could be much improved, there are thousands of people struggling to get full functionality, let’s not pretend everything is Rosie, most posts in this thread relate to people struggling, just because you have yours working fine doesn’t mean we all have. I wanted a TAG, something I could ware 360 days a week and substitute my iwatch, I didn’t go mechanical because it wouldn’t get the daily use I want to justify the cost which is why I went connected. Let’s be honest, I’m sure 90% of owners had some disappointment. We just compromise because we spent a lot of money and wanted the brand. If it was simply about owning a watch, which gives notifications and all the rest no one would be buying the TAG connected, it’s all about the brand, and we love it. So steady on

I haven't seen thousands struggling - happy to concede if there is. But as a retailer (different industry) and business owner, nothing infuriates me more than when a customer has an issue with a product, and rather than contact me, spits the dummy online. If you've got a genuine significant usability issue (which not receiving SMS would certainly qualify), then I would assume if the retailer can't help, you'd be entitled to a full refund. Surely that's the easiest and quickest way to resolve your issues.

Lol, your the guy that hasn't got any of the functionality set up if I remember in a previous response to a question, The shop I purchased (Earnest Jones) wouldn't have a clue, these are generic jewellers, not IT specialists. They will simply push me back to TAG. At no point have i suggested I want to return my watch, I purchased it with a understanding it would be second rate in regards to a smart watch. I wanted a TAG and bought one. PS I don't have a significant issue just a minor one.

This is a forum to discuss anything related to the Connected watch, no spitting out dummy. Simply my opinion, stop crying about it. Im not here to ram 100% sunshine up the brands bum, there is enough of that going on.

Nope not a single functionality issue from me. Only thing I had was that Strava wasn't logging in which is of course a fault of Strava's development team. Nothing I would consider blaming Tag or Android Wear for.

HI - I FINALLY HAVE IPHONE IMESSAGE AND SMS WORKING!! The following is my email exchange with TH support:

Andrew,
Thank you for contacting TAG Heuer Connected Support. To received Text Message notifications you will need to activate a persistence "Notification' banner for incoming Text Messages. Open your iPhone settings located Notifications and then activate the banner for each notification you would like to have sent to your watch.

--I DID WHAT THEY ASKED AND REPLIED THAT IT DID NOT WORK. THEIR RESPONSE WAS AS FOLLOWS:

This is process did not work, then your iMessage notifications are not active. So open your iPhone settings and scroll down to "Messages" and touch to open. Please ensure that "iMessage: is active, "Show Contact Photos" is active, "Send as SMS" is active, "MMS Messaging" & "Group messaging" is also active. Then scroll back up to "Notifications" and follow the previous instructions. This should rectify your issue directly.

--AFTER I COMPLETED THEIR SECOND SET OF RECOMMENDATIONS ABOVE, I TURNED OFF ALL MESSAGE SETTINGS AND THEN TURNED EVERYTHING BACK ON IN THE EXACT ORDER THAT THEY RECOMMENDED. i THEN RESTARTED MY IPHONE 8+ AND THCM45 AND NOW HAVE IMESSAGE AND NON APPLE SMS MESSAGES SHOWING UP ON MY CM45. 😀

Glad you were able to get the assistance you needed from TAG Heuer Support and that this issue is now resolved. Your post should be helpful to other iPhone users who may be experiencing the same kind of issue.

This is extremely helpful! In my case, notifications were appearing but only at random. Sometimes they were, sometimes not. I hope this will fix that 😀
