Sometimes it is just the little things that lift the spirits, walking my boys earlier this morning the birds were singing their wee hearts out and starting to build nests whilst the local farmer was hard at it.

Yes a happy start to the day,
I told my wife that if I had to come back or start all over again, I would be a farmer. This picture really describes my feeling of such.

Not my picture but definitely lifts the spirits

my contribution to our last BYO lunch with my wine loving crew. Going to be a while before the next on unfortunately so I’ll keep this in the memory.

How I wish I could find one of those Gran Reserva Vina Tondonias again. Total unicorn here in Australia.

Lifts my spirits every time, but also brings tears to my eyes every time. Taken the instant Mrs. noelekal got to our youngest son upon his safe return to his Twentynine Palms, California base from front line duty with his first deployment to Afghanistan as a 0331 machinegunner. Little did we know at the time that second deployment there would be worse, but he came through it all safely.

Adding this one of Mrs. noelekal, just 'cause.

My daughter and our Old English Sheepdog. He was her loyal nanny, protector and constant companion from the moment we brought her home from the hospital. 110 pounds of gentle giant. Never had a better dog, before or since.

We were travelling in Cambodia and stopped for a break. A street vendor was trying to sell us ice creams on sticks when we were besieged by a happy group of local kids. Our small group decided to give them a treat, and the schoolteacher amongst us got them to sit on the wall so we could hand the ice creams out without any kids missing out. This was taken just before we did so, and never fails to bring a smile to my face.

First born at the helm of our rib, not long after we both successfully completed our RYA offshore powerboat certificates.
A great bonding experience and when she started in to the job market her RYA certificate was always one of the main interview topics which I suspect helped her on her way.

The rib was eventually renamed and sure you all know why 🙁
