So let me see if I understand this...it sounds like the assigned subscripts at OF are like the assigned callsigns in the Navy...if you don't like it, then that's your subscript/callsign?

I do wonder how @Mad Dog doesn't have something yet!

Oh, I'm good without one at OF.

Just for the record...my [informal] assigned Navy callsign is depicted below...I hated it...hot chicks would ask, "What's up with your callsign?" I would reply, "It's my callsign."

Haha careful what you wish for, that one's gonna stick with you for a while.

Some of these subscripts are pretty funny

@speedbird...your username here at OF (speedbird) is British Airways' call sign.

Jolly good!

Don't try so hard ;-)

4 popped collars?

I will admit to wearing a popped colar under my Oxford polo with my swatch watch, back in the day. With my Raybans. Also had the colored top siders. Bring back the 1980s.

Yep, good old BA!

I'm an air traffic controller and I love call signs. Speedbird is one of the best. RepublicAirlines uses Brickyard which I love too. JIA uses Bluestreak which isn't bad.

My LEAST favorite is a call sign used by a Mexican airline. It's "ABC Aerolineas" you've already said a mouthful before you've said anything! "ABC Aerolineas three seven niner, descend and maintain niner-thousand". It doesn't roll off the tongue very well!!!
