I bought this watch as a NOS, three years ago ,I know that is a 80's or 90's production,the movement is an Lemania 1866,the dial is ceramics, case in three parts in 18k gold....I didn't find any news on web about his production,but is a beautiful watch,and wit him I've got this Accutron Marco Polo,same ceramic dial,but with Valjoux movement....great watches!

Back in the day, this Bulova cost $125, the same as the Heuer of the same caliber and design. I saw one of these, a Heuer, on a forum for $2500 the other day. I paid $625, including the complete service I had done after I bought it. I guess back in the day people were less superficial about brand.

First launched in Baselworld in 2012, I found this Bulova Accutron Calibrator at a Guam Kmart 3 years ago. The width is 43mm, the thickness is 12.5m and it has a very clear sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. On the back it has a sweet exhibition case back showing off it's Swiss Made movement. I've read it's an ETA, I've also read it was a Sellita. I can't tell. Maybe one of you Bullie nerds would know.

What makes this model interesting is that it's got this cool feature to calibrate the movement by yourself without the need of a tech, thus the name "Calibrator". Using a provided hex key you can easily adjust the settings with the External Fine Adjustment System, which claims it allows you to make it 99.99% accurate. Honestly, I get the feeling that this is just a gimmick that did not really catch on, but I don't care because the little blue hand is badass. Anyway, thanks for allowing me to share what is now one of my favorite finds from the Guam Kmart.

Reviving this old thread because the title was so pertinent. I know it’s just a Bulova but this little watch which appears to have a silver case has a lovely eggshell patina.
And what’s more MWR member @bobbee has found lovely advertisements showing how this waterproof watch was promoted by swimming champion Johnny Weissmuller, aka Tarzan.
