How would you access this end-link slot?

These vintage no. 6 end-link slots are about 1mm wide:

As you can see, the Bergeon tool end is too wide to access it. The only way I’ve been able to access the slot for spring bar removal is with a .80 screwdriver tip. The problem is, the diameter of the tip is relatively small, and it flexes almost to the point of snapping at times. Thus, I’d be appreciative of any ideas on how to access this slot effectively. Thanks.

Yes, a small screwdriver. If yours is flimsy, you could grind down a sturdier screwdriver to the correct width and shape. I have similar slots in several endlinks.

Thanks. I was wondering if there was something dedicated that was the correct size.
