Hey guys been a long time lurker but finally came out the closet lol.
I live near Nottingham on the edge of Sherwood Forest actually
Little about myself as like many got into watches young. Went down the dare I say it. FAKE. route for a while and then got into building watches myself.
Got myself on the BHI course for a week and learned the basics of servicing , history, theory etc of watches. It's a great course and highly recommended if not a tad expensive.
I live with my wife sue and have 3 kids 9,11 and 15.
Love all sports and riding my KTM motorbike.
I have a mkii speedy, explorer ii, vintage Glycine GMT, rare Seiko black samurai and a gen 74 Heuer Silverstone so I quite diverse in my collection.
Ideally I'd love a Ploprof and railmaster but I'm also aware these aren't coming cheap so figured I'd come aboard, say hello and get reading.

Just a couple of quickies, speedy was my first foray into vintage, the glycine my second. Speedy is well polished to be fair.

the Glycine rocks!

and so long as it's well loved then who cares if it's had a little "work" done.

Nice to see you on the forum Edwin!👍
It's a great place. Lots of helpful, well informed experts, a few piss takers (which is nice) and one or two 'odd bods' (which can also be nice).
These are vital because they keep us amused while we wait for the helpful, well informed experts to helpfully inform us about watches!
Welcome.
Jonathan in Dorset.
