Thats a fine "brother" to mine!
😀
A few questions - Do you have a signed or unsigned crown?
And the caseback - slotted or polygon?

Unsigned crown with slotted caseback. Seriel number dates it to 1966 or so.

These all only had 'Swiss' above the date. And the 1153s were all automatic; there were manual wind versions as well

Good Sunday evening Forum Friends!

Here is a nice Heuer that got sold recently on an auction, and with an amazing price of 18000€ / 19650 $ (incl the premium)!
I didn't follow the auction, so I don't know how ”furious” the bidding was?

It is a 2447 SN (second execution), and they are quite hard to find these days.
Serial nr 104813, so maybe 1970-isch...?

Looking at the pictures, the watch appears very nice, I didn't ask for extra pictures,
so these are the ones that they had on their website,
sorry for the low-res quality!

Attaching also the condition report from the auction house.

7753NS with a map from my rally navigator days wearing it in the early 1970s. Since then it has suffered further indignities worn as a service mechanic in international rallies and fore-deck sail changing in yacht races. Bloodied but unbowed.

Today I switched it from a bracelet of worrisome reliability back to this black leather strap.

If I'd known how long it would last I'd have looked after it better.

IMO the most beautiful of all Carreras. The 3647 in plain white/silver, no tacky tachy scales, nothing it doesn't need. Just perfection.

Sadly since this photo was taken it's lost a pusher 🙁 Maybe I'll get the hands relumed one day but the gaps are not noticeable on the wrist.

Found this amazing Carrera 2447 S, with serial nr 57265, a first execution, should put it in 1965 maybe.
Not so sharp edges (prob polished during a service?), but a lovely watch!
It was sold on Bukowskis auction in 2017, for the amount of 11560 € / 12560 $ including the premium.

Good evening Forum Friends!

Here is a Heuer Carrera 3647N (black dial) from the late 60:s.
Serial nr 74981.

This one was up for an auction last December, and I totally forgot about the watch, until now!

Black dialed Carreras are always more attractive, and harder to find (at the right price!).

This one was not in the best condition…

The dial and lume were ok, not scratches or damages.
But the crystal had a big dent on the side, and also really scratched!
I think that the hands might have had some paintwork done?
Unsigned crown, and not sure if it's a replaced one?

No movement pictures...

The condition of the case was not nice, lots of dings, scratches and marks.
I even went to the auction house to have a look at the watch, just to be sure about the condition.

So no Masterplan on this one, but I did follow the auction!

And it ended at 3770 € / 4060 USD, with the premium.

Maybe a fair price regarding the condition of the watch??

Cheers!
