Calibre11
·Hi all,
Thought that you might find this interesting- irrespective of which watch brands you like. I get plenty of questions at Calibre 11 on people who find old watches and want to know what to do with them. Generally, I say "as little as possible", because 95% of "restored" watches are disasters with over-polished case and non-original parts. Some even mess around with "touching up" the dial.
But for Heuer collectors, there is Abel Court who does great work- you can follow the progress of his Autavia project here http://forums.calibre11.com/threads/heuer-autavia-restoration-project.19419/
Here is the before shot (doesn't look too bad)...the finished watch has yet to be revealed..
