I'd love to give this special movement a second chance at life. Unfortunately the case was surely scrapped for melt long ago, but at least the movement and dial were 'spared'. Thanks to @Bill Sohne and his identical situation, we know the ref. 6264 steel case will work. I'm curious if anyone thinks other references, in either gold or steel, might also house it as perfectly? I'm also in need of a replacement sweep hand since after years of exposure this one was compromised and broke while handling - i'd be grateful if someone could point me in the right direction there as well.

I'll do my best to update this thread as anything progresses. Thanks in advance!

Movement looks clean, probably needs a basic service to clean the old oils and to make sure everything is in working order. Can probably find the new second hand at the same time.

Love the dial! Not sure if it's all patina or some dirt, but once lightly cleaned if needed, will look great in the new case. Best of luck with the project.

A special movement, and great to have the original dial and hands. Regarding other case references that might work, I suspect that many references that originally housed the cal. 12.68ZS would work. For example, maybe ref. 6405? I am not certain.

Revisiting this project with an update! I was able to find a nice donor case and the watch is almost in wearable shape. Just need a proper seconds hand and capable watchmaker to service it.

Nice! What is the reference number of the case?
