All,

Looking to reset the time accurately just now, the watch has stopped moving entirely. I won’t profess to knowing the first thing about the intricacies of the watch, therefore looking for some advice. Regularly I would push the bottom button on the right hand side which would reset the hands and then move once the crown was pushed in. However, this does not adjust now - when holding down/pressing it does seem to twitch, however, it’s hard to tell if this is just my eyes deceiving me, it does allow me to change the hands, however the dials do not move when resetting to the default positioning.

I purchased the watch just over 2 years ago from Goldsmiths and it is within warranty there. Naturally I’d like to have a quick fix therefore if there is any suggestions it would be appreciated.

At 2+ years old, maybe it's just time for a new battery.

Hi, just wanted to check... you do know the thin silver hand isn't the second hand don't you?

Yes, I am aware - was more so concerned with the fact the whole piece has stopped moving.

Thanks both, does anyone know where the best UK based place is to have the battery replaced, I’ve seen a few people replace themselves - however I’d rather not cause any further damages.

Oh, good. It's not unusual for people to come here thinking the big hand is the second hand that's all. And pushing the bottom pusher does reset the chronograph seconds hand. Though you also mentioned pushing the bottom pusher with the crown out... which is more likely resetting the subdials. First thing to try is the battery in any case, two years is quite short, but it depends on how often you use the chronograph.

Honestly you are best to take it to a TAG dealer. It's not that much more expensive than high street stores and if you have got a problem then it's best if they open the watch and find it. Also they will change the seals and pressure test the watch as part of the service.
You can also send it to TAG directly using their website.

Okay, yeah - as mentioned I’m not the most clued up on the intricacies of how this particular watch works. My normal go to when adjusting the time etc is to press the bottom button which resets the hands although this time it doesn’t move anything but the minute and hour hand.

I'm confused. Setting the time is done by the crown, not the pushers. If you pull the crown out once it allows you to change the date. If you pull it out further it will move the minute and hour hands.
The pushers are for operating the chronograph, they will also be used with the crown out to reset the subdials and the large chrono second hand (I don't have this watch or similar) but probably pressing the top button with the crown out will reset the large second hand but I'm not sure. If you bought from Goldsmiths then presumably you have the manual?
