Hi everyone,

I just wanted to say hello as I've been hiding in the shadows absorbing as much information as possible for the past few weeks and thought it about time I said something!

There also seems to have been a couple of new members behaving pretty rudely recently and I really wanted to go against that trend and let you know that there are new guys coming along that are very grateful for the free and open sharing of information & being able to tap in to your years of experience - it is extremely generous and refreshing in a world when so many people like to keep their knowledge to themselves so they can always come out on top..thank you!

Thanks to the learn how to fish thread etc I have already avoided buying a fair few dodgy watches that I would have easily been fooled by in the past and I'm also waiting on a beautiful Longines arriving which was bought on this forum from a very helpful member (considering I have zero posts etc).

I must admit this forum & watch hunting in general is dangerously addictive and already taking up far too much of my time but thankfully it's all food for the brain and you guys keep it entertaining too!

Anyway, thanks again for the information so far and in the future - much appreciated!

There's some fascinating stuff here and a lot of knowledge. It can be easy to think that all the other guys have got prodigiously expensive watches by the dozen and live on a cloud of opulence but whether that's true or not this forum seems to take a more relaxed, less hurried view of the world than some other forums.

Sink into the sofa, soak it up and enjoy yourself.
