Great images, really show the simplicity and attention to detail in materials and finish. What set-up did you use for the photos?

@Longbow Hi !

Oh...i just wanted the timing of the Post to coincide with the Melbourne Grand Prix Live on Fox channel
.Errr..Longbow.... the British Racing Motors V16 1952/53 should be reserved for the GlobM of that era...undeniably.. arguably the best sounding engine but also the worst performing engine...is that an affirmative longbow...???[emoji41]
Superdoc's platinum is Metas Certified..i think @Superdoc would rather prefer the sound of a Ferrari engine ! [emoji14]

Please feel free to make this Globemaster thread Educational Inspirational & simply a fun tribute to all Modern & Vintage Omega Fans !

I've had it on my wrist for 4.5 months and it's still my favorite!

Hi @al128
Is that feeling based on photos of the Globemaster or based on your own personal experience? Sorry I don't mean to be condescending, just trying to distinguish between real experiences (hence this owners thread) and all the armchair expert stuff that's been flying around since the GM was first announced. Hopefully the real experience feedback here will help the undecided folks make more informed, aka better choices, one way or the other.
I did a few formal shots of mine a few days ago as suggestions for a wedding watch. I think it works just fine, but I'm probably biased by now, so I recommend to take a look at this other thread and tell me if you still have that feeling:-

Cheers

Longbow

photo experience only, I'm afraid ... I pretty much live "anus orbis" ... so we're happy to have colour TV now 馃榿 - let alone expensive watches in shop windows... 馃榾

btw - not trying to be a party booper, either 馃憤 ... just trying to get a feeling if this was a design-decision or technical necessity from O's side.

be it as it is ... based on pics here, there def. seems to be a strong preference for the blue dial

Then I guess that makes you one of, if not THE first GM owner...unless someone can prove otherwise! Bravo @Tire-comedon.

Would you care to share with us what your main reason(s) were for selecting a) The Globemaster and b) this particular model...after all, there are plenty of other candidates competing for our hard-earned.

Indeed. Probably because it offers so many colour/hue variations. The white dials look a bit flat and the Platinum is out of most peoples reach financially...but nice if you can run to it.

The Globemasters are beautifully executed. I'm not currently a huge fan of the annual calendar, but the Globemaster is perfect for me.

Can't say I'm a fan of the new annual calendar either. The font doesn't do much for me nor the upgraded size. The blue ones shared in this thread is perfect though.
