WestCoastTime
·Gallet Adanac, 1988 date of manufacture. Looks like this one, like most of its kind, has had a long & not particularly gentle life.
Dealing with the hardware on this one suggests to me that these watches were never designed with the intention of being serviced (Use it 'til it breaks, then throw it away & get a new one...). Really felt as though the case back tool was in danger of breaking before the case would give up the case back. Did eventually come free all right in the end.
"Inexpensive & robust" could be the theme for this watch, & that extends to the insides, as well. Ronda 373, not fancy, but fit for function.
From a practical point of view, no good argument in favour of servicing a cheap commodity quartz movement like this, but I'll do this just for my own enjoyment.
Dial side of the movement. Dial feet are friction fit (no dial feet screws).
Motion works.
Keyless works.
Watchmaker side of the movement.
Going train.
