Hi and thanks for the very helpful post. I would like to add a small detail.
Some of the clasps made in Mexico are stamped J/M (for Joskes Mexico). They might be on a jubilee like on this page mentioned earlier:

Or on a flat link bracelet like this on ebay, which is basically a 1175.

Or my own flat link 1175

Great topic!

I have a question about an 1171 deployment clasp I bought on Ebay. In the opening post several 1171's are described but mine doesn't quite fit in:

the Omega logo is in a square, not a trapezium but doés have (11) on the inside of the clasp.

What do you guys think? Is this legit? Thanks in advance!

Looks legit. The logo styles denote the periods, not specific to this or that bracelet model.

Thanks for your reply!
In another thread someone suggested it is an old clasp with a service cover. Not sure what to think right now...
Any thoughts?

It's just a slightly newer version of the 1171

Could you (or anyone else) make an estimate of the year of make? Help is much appreciated!

1977 for the clasp and 2007 for the cover...
Not sure how you got those years, but the 1171 clasp was first used in 1971 and the cover with square shield in 1981. Both were in use for many years.

Of course, that was just a guess (always give an answer to the guy who absolutely need one)

This remark undermines the expertise showcased in the opening post if you ask me. If you don’t know, say nothing or say you don’t know. I come here to share and gain knowledge. This doesn’t help at all. Should I also question the facts of the opening post?
I don’t “absolutely need an answer”, I would appreciate more information from someone who knows.
Ah well, lessons learned today I guess.

You can question all you want about my opening post, I just shared my knowledge.
I didn't put any info that I was not sure.
And here you come with a put together clasp, not even a bracelet and ask fot an "estimate of the year of make"?
I thought it was a joke.
I'm truly sorry about it.

Best thread ever? I've referred to it so many times over the years, so thanks!

For us 18mm people for the 1035 I would add 630 end links, and for 7912 there was no 4 of course (maybe these were covered in later pages). Also for 1175 I have one with 19mm end links numbered 48, have come across a few others with this configuration too.

Can anyone help identify this bracelet? I don’t see an example anywhere......

I believe this is for a Constellation f8192 Electroquartz.
