It is still working and ticking time. My mum has an omega watch and to my suprise, after search i found this one is the same seires as hers, both ladymatic. Although hers is modren bought in 2016.

the watch band to my opinon looks like was replaced by something else rather than the original? the protection chain is obviously worn out and the band is not as golden as the watch itself.

i am super curious about the history and what the original band would look like? i wish i could know more because i love this one so much!!

Hello @lucybaby and welcome to the forum! Based on the crystal bezel, I think your watch was from the Omega Sapphette collection rather than the Ladymatic. The Sapphette line was developed in the mid-1950s and ran through the late 1960s. Some original bands can be seen in this late 1950s advertisement:

Here, a catalog image circa 1963:

You have an Omega Sapphette from about the mid 1950's.
The strap may be original or it could have originaly been a black cord style.

A similar reference to yours.

The Sapphette series were all karat gold. Usually 14-karat for North America, or 18-karat for Europe. The glass is synthetic sapphire, not glass. The facets around the perimeter are lapped on the same way that facets on genuine gemstones are lapped. The Sapphette was top of the line for Omega 60 to 70 years ago. The basic style across the Sapphette line was fairly basic like yours. But the case lugs featured a wide range of sculpturing, and many were set with gemstones. The watch will require a FULL manual wind on each day worn. Truly a treasure!
