Just wanted to share a recent incoming with the community. I have owned several ref 666AD and briefly owned a 666A, which I had to trade when something else came up.

While I love the design and size of the 666AD, I don't wear it often due to the non quickset date. I have been searching for an excellent example of a 666A, but they do not come up often. I was thrilled when I received the one below. It appears nearly unworn with original factory polished and brushed surfaces intact. The dial is also interesting with long hour markers. Most of the 666 examples I have seen tend to have the lume dots in line with the outer track and shorter hour markers.

My goodness. Having had a few 666a/d I can say this is the nicest one I’ve ever seen. I’ve also never seen lume patination in this color range, quite special! Congratulations!

These are among my favorite watches and the 666's are what started me in collecting.

Yours is stunning, really one of the nicest non-dates I've ever seen. The horizontal brushing on the dial is amazing and I believe, pretty uncommon.

Congrats, wear that beauty in the best of health..

Nice watch. Is there a name or term for the applied markers in the minute track?

Congrats!

I really like the aesthetics of those dotted seconds. Wish IWC would go back to this simple design or do a reissue.

That's a great observation. Thinking about it now, all of the dials I have seen in the past tend to have the sunburst finish from the center.

I'm not sure, but this was pretty common on IWCs from the time period.

Congratulations Mike!! Mine says Hi…

This was the exact dial variation I was searching for ever since I missed Todd's listing years ago 😀 Love it.

Congrats!

I totally agree. I'm still waiting for IWC to revive their Ingenieur line.
