In all seriousness though, probably not much you can do. I assume they specified how you damaged it, like obvious fall/drop of watch on hard surface

What's the damage? You've provided such little information and no pics.

And TAG Heuer gives no explanation what damage they mean? They simply returned the watch and said 'you damaged it'?

If you changed the battery, are they saying that you touched the coil?

You seem to be really reluctant to share any details, which leads me to think something is amiss.

You'd need to tell us the whole story, and add some pictures of your watch.

the problem existed before the battery change

I thought it was the battery. put a new battery and nothing.
I never dropped the watch . I sent it to Tag and they said it needs an overhaul for $360
THe watch is less then 2 years old. How can It need a overhaul so soon.
what is it worth if I decide to sell

If you bought it new, it should have at least 2 years of warranty. Of course it is not usual to have a problem like this in a quartz watch less than 2 years old, and it should be repaired under warranty. Was the warranty activated?

Maybe if you post some pictures of your watch we could understand (or not) why Jomashop is telling that you damaged the watch. If the official TAG Heuer warranty was not activated, then you can only claim to Jomashop

Not much to do then. Lesson for next time, buy from authorised dealer. The ”good deal” you got from the grey market dealer turned into an expensive mistake 👍🏻

Ps. A watchmaker can usually see and confirm if the watch movement is damaged from a fall or hard hit, I doubt that they are making this up. Not sure what you expect this forum to do for you in this particular issue.

Good luck, your F1 is a beauty 👍🏻
